Free Crochet Chocolate Egg Basket Pattern

I made these baskets for little Easter presents a few years ago and I have been making more this year and I have shared the pattern below.

Chocolate Egg Basket

I fill my little baskets with mini chocolate eggs that come in the little nets, I got mine from Tesco but I know a lot of the supermarkets do them and also I have bought them from Poundland in the past too. The Mini Baskets also fit a cadbury cream egg size egg in to but only the one!
You can re-use these each year – obviously just add more chocolate eggs as I can’t imagine they would last more that 5 minutes, let alone a whole year!

The baskets are very quick to make and make a great evening project in front of the TV or I like to wip a couple up whilst waiting in the car on the school run.

To make your Mini crochet Easter baskets you will need some DK yarn, 4mm hook, darning needle, some 3mm ribbon in a colour of your choice and of course some mini chocolate eggs. I have used Stylecraft special DK in mocha for most of my baskets but I have also made some pastel coloured ones too.

What you will need.
