How to make Chocolate Scotch Eggs

A few years ago, whilst at a local Farmers market, we came across a lady selling Chocolate Scotch eggs and because of my love for Chocolate I had to give them a try and WOW!
They were delicious, a little sickly if you eat too many, but delicious all the same!

This year though I haven’t managed to find them being sold anywhere, so I decided to make my own.
And actually they were a lot easier to make than what I thought they would be.

What you are going to need…
* 3 x Cadbury Cream Eggs
* A portion of butter icing (120g Icing Sugar & 50g Margarine)
* 300g of already baked brownie ( we used the recipe from The Hummingbird bakery book, but you can use whatever recipe you prefer or use the ones in a box)
* Chocolate Flake or Chocolate sprinkles

Method…
1. Once your Brownie has cooled, you need to break it up up into medium size crumbs/chunks
2. Mix the butter icing in with the Brownie
3. Remove foil from your Cream eggs
4. You then want to use the brownie/icing mix to form a ball around the Cream egg
5. Roll the ball in the broken up bits of flake or sprinkles
6. Place in fridge to set
7. Eat

We are definitely going to make more as our last ones didn’t last long at all, haha!
Hope you enjoy them.
