My Top Vegan Recipe Books

I just want to point out first off that we don’t and have never called ourselves vegan, but we do choose to eat a mostly vegan/plant based diet and have decided to take part in veganuary, to help us get our diets back on track.
We chose to eat this way primarily for health reasons but since looking into veganism more, we were made aware of the impact that eating meat has on the environment and I think that we all need to do our bit to help with climate change.

I have had a lot of people over the years ask me for recipe recommendations and also a lot of people who are trying veganuary or trying to make one or two meat free meals a week, so as well as sharing my weekly meal plans, along with links to recipes and sharing my own, I am sharing my favourite, go to recipe books that I absolutely love.

My First favourite book and was actually the first one I bought is the first Deliciously Ella book.

I had seen all the hype about this book in 2015 and jumped on it. This book did not disappoint. It is is my top favourites as not only does it contain easy to make plant based recipes but they are whole food recipes which means they are healthy too. Our favourite recipe from this book is the bean chilli.

Next up is another Deliciously Ella book called Every day and I probably use this one the most.

My favourite recipes from this book are the trail mix and the creamy carbonara.

On to my next go to book is The Happy Pear – recipes for happiness.

Written by twins David and Stephan Flynn and as well as over 100 recipes, there is also a section on living happier.
My favourite recipes from this book are the meatball sub, the mac ‘n’ cheese and the sausage rolls – you have to try them!!

Next up is the How Not To Die cookbook – this has to be the healthiest book about. It contains 100 recipes to help prevent and reverse disease and you have to try the Black bean burgers – delish!

Last up we have the Leon – Fast Vegan book. This is big and has over 200 recipes from breakfasts to ambitious feasts. We have only tried a few from this book so far and love the butternut, roasted garlic and sage risotto.

I love a book recommendation, so if you have any favourites, then please let me know.
