How to make Vegan Oreo Truffles

Jump to Recipe

I just want to say firstly that although I have made these Oreo truffles Vegan because it suits our diet, you can easily make them non-vegan if you wish by swapping the vegan alternatives to your choice of brand – although these taste amazing as they are so not sure why you would want to, HAHA!

If you love an Oreo then you are going to love these Oreo truffles, they hit that sweet craving perfectly!

Vegan Oreo Truffles

We are big Oreo lovers in this house and love to make Oreo milkshakes too (Vegan reicpe coming soon!!)
Here in the UK we don’t have as many flavours as the states but we do have original and mint, so that is all that matters!
What’s your favourite Oreo flavour?

This recipe is super easy and only requires 3 ingredients –
1. Oreos (obviously) – We used the double cream ones.
2. Vegan Cream cheese – We used Violife
3. Vegan Milk Chocolate – We used Tesco free from chocolate buttons.
And that is it, although you could add extras to decorate, if you wanted. To give you a few ideas, you could use coloured sprinkles, White chocolate drizzle or chopped nuts.

Oreo Truffle Ingredients

To make these Vegan Oreo Truffles you will need –

2 packs of double creme Oreos
90 – 100g Vegan cream cheese
150g Dairy free chocolate

Method
1. Crush the Oreos to a breadcrumb consistency. We used our vitamix to do this but you can pop the Oreos into a sandwich bag and tap with a rolling pin.
2. Add the cream cheese and mix together.
3. Line a plate or tray with baking paper.
4. Take a small amount of mixture and roll into a ping pong sized ball and place on the baking paper.
5. Pop the balls into the freezer to harden for about 10-15mins.
6. Whilst they are in the freezer, you can make a start on melting the chocolate. This can either be done in the microwave or if you don’t have one (like us), you can boil a pan of water on the hob and place a bowl into the pan and add the chocolate into the bowl and stir.

7. After 10-15 mins and the chocolate has melted, take off the heat and using 2 forks dip an Oreo ball into the chocolate and roll it around until it is covered. Remove from the chocolate and place back on the plate. Repeat for all the balls.
8. Put the plate into the fridge until the chocolate has hardened
9. EAT!!!!
